mainstream fashion is always borrowing from niche groups, that's not news. we adapt (by adapt I mean mostly... we steal) trends from the skaters, the techno lovers and as of recent years we are incorporating styles from the S&M world. leather chokers, harnesses, clothing items covered in piercings, latex everywhere - you name it. what was left? the pants.

from brothels to high street. et voilà: the full fashion life cycle.

I think if styled right, there's absolutely nothing scandalous about it. I went with a matching hoodie and acne boots. suitable for everyday life? probably not for your sunday family brunch. but then again, it's always a win when I don't turn up wearing sweatpants.
